When we set out to build this website, one of the most important things we wanted to do was be informative and try to provide some guidance, because although we understand that there are lots of tech-savvy smart home people out there, the ones who’ve been blazing a trail for a good few years and know a thing or two about the tech they’re buying. There are also those who are new to smart home / connected tech, who need information and guidance about what works with what and why some things won’t connect with others.

We were initially going to try and write our own content and then came across an awesome piece of work that had already been done. Not only does it provide a wealth of information on current products and platforms, it is also being updated on a regular basis, as and when new tech and systems are introduced.

Yes, we know there are some buying links to products in it, which may seem counterproductive, but the outlets are all US based, so we don’t really mind.

The sheer immensity of this article and the work that has been put into it is not something we could replicate in a short period of time. This is a labour of love that has taken its author, Rose Thibodeaux of Home Alarm Report, a considerable amount of time to put together.

We have sought Rose’s permission to use this and can’t thank her enough for agreeing to let us link to it, so without further ado, please cast your eyes on ‘The Ultimate Guide to Smart Home Compatibility.’
